Hyosung HICO, Ltd. is a subsidiary of Hyosung Heavy Industries Corp, Korea, a global leader in T&D solution. Through its sales office in Pittsburgh, Hyosung has been supplying transformers and other T&D solutions to the North American market for over 20 years. Its certified, vertically integrated Power Transformer Manufacturing facility is located in Memphis TN, and is the most vital logistic hub in the world. In 2024, their team began working with KUDO AI Speech Translator to make their meetings in their offices and warehouses accessible for employees to follow in multiple languages, namely Spanish and Korean.

The Challenge

Hyosung operates in the highly technical energy market, so getting across internal communication and vocabulary correctly was a key objective for the corporation. Prior to using KUDO, the Hyosung team tested other language accessibility solutions, including relying on non-professional human translators in each language of their employees.
