Automatic language detection added to KUDO AI MS Teams integration

(Tuesday 6 August, 2024, New York City, NY) In their latest round of product updates, the KUDO team makes automatic language detection available for AI speech translation on their native integration with Microsoft Teams. This means that users of KUDO AI who wish to hold multilingual meetings, events, and sessions via Microsoft Teams can do so without each participant having to specify in advance the language in which they will speak. 

When KUDO AI first became available as a native integration on Microsoft Teams, the process for joining a meeting or event required participants to select the language they wished to speak in. Now, with this latest automatic language detection feature, the organizer of the meeting or event simply chooses up to ten spoken languages available for participants when scheduling the session, and KUDO AI will automatically detect the language being spoken by each participant and translate it in real-time. Additional languages are still available as translation languages (languages in which participants can listen).

KUDO AI’s integration with Microsoft Teams covers both one-way (speech-to-speech) and interactive (speech-to-text) translation settings, which meeting or event organizers can select when scheduling a session. Automatic language detection works for both modes.  

The speech translator is also available on the KUDO Platform and via an embeddable widget on any third party platform or website. For online platforms, the most popular use cases for KUDO AI remain internal company meetings, training sessions, and interviews. 

For in-person communication, KUDO AI can be accessed on any smartphone or tablet by scanning a QR code – no downloads or account creation needed. The most popular use cases include live events, worship services, and city council meetings.
