ISE 2024 to Become First Entirely Language-Accessible Event with AI as Technology Partner, KUDO, Launches Unique Speech Translator in the AV World

(Tuesday, 23rd January 2024, New York City, NY) – In a big step for global accessibility and engagement, KUDO has been announced as an official technology partner for Integrated Systems Europe (ISE)’s 2024 edition in Barcelona. This marks the second consecutive year that ISE’s 50,000+ international attendees will be offered multilingual audio and captions powered by KUDO AI Speech Translator. The twist? This year, every ISE keynote, panel, and conference session from 30th January to 2nd February will be accessible in multiple languages.

The theme of transformative AI does not stop there, particularly through its role in bridging the IT and AV industries. KUDO’s CEO, Fardad Zabetian, will also unveil the company’s latest innovation live in a Tech Talk on the Show Floor: a solution that takes AI speech-to-speech translation technology from the world of software into the AV world. Participants will experience first-hand how AI language technology can be applied to any physical or hybrid meeting space for a permanently language-accessible set-up. This means integrating language technology into the way we design public spaces such as conference rooms, hotel foyers, museums, and more, for a new norm in which the language you speak – or don’t – bears no impact on your personal or professional experience of the world.

With over twenty years of experience building successful proAV companies, nobody embodies the connection between communication software and hardware than Fardad Zabetian, CEO of KUDO.

“Combining speech translation technology with the AV world is like coming full circle,” says Fardad. “When I founded KUDO, there were multiple advantages in moving into SaaS; annual recurring revenue, higher margins, and no dependency on a supply chain to name a few. I always knew this journey would eventually lead me back to the AV world, however, and here I am. I look forward to showcasing language accessible venues and working with AV integrators to shape the future of public venues.”

“This year marks the 20th edition of ISE. Over the years, the event has grown into the world’s largest proAV and systems integration exhibition, highlighted by the international profile of our speakers and attendees. As such, making their presentations and discussions available in all languages allows us to go that extra mile in the accessibility of great ideas, content, and innovation,” adds Mike Blackman, Managing Director of Integrated Systems Europe. “We are excited to reinforce our collaboration with KUDO in the combined effort to make this event as successful as possible – and on a wider scale than ever.”

Since its creation in 2017, KUDO has been driven by the vision to give everyone the power to understand and be understood in their own language. This vision led the company to develop the only-platform agnostic solution on the market that connects users with a hand-picked network of over 12,000 certified interpreters – and later, to the in-house development of KUDO AI, an AI-powered speech-to-speech translator aimed at making language interpretation more accessible. Already in 2023, KUDO AI technology was awarded two patents from the United States Patent Office (USPO) for its unique methodology and components, and month-on-month usage is booming.

Fardad Zabetian’s presentation – ‘Language-Accessible Venues with AI: the Untapped Opportunity for AV Integrators‘ – will take place on Tuesday 30 January, 16:15, ISE Show Floor Stage, Hall 4.

Attendees of ISE 2024 are also warmly invited to visit KUDO at booth CS216, where Fardad and the team will be available to showcase the solution on-site.
