(Thursday, February 19, 2026, New York City, NY) — KUDO, the leading provider of AI and human-powered language accessibility technology, today announced a new partnership with Carbonfit to measure, track, and reduce its carbon emissions as part of its long-term sustainability strategy. This milestone marks KUDO’s first formal sustainability assessment and reflects the growing need for AI companies to invest in measurable, verifiable environmental responsibility.
Through its work with Carbonfit, KUDO has established a verified emissions baseline year of 2022 and has begun conducting annual sustainability assessments with the goal of progressing toward net zero emissions. The assessment and verification were conducted by Carbonfit, an independent third-party sustainability consultancy.
This initiative also enables KUDO to meet Microsoft’s Sustainability Partner requirements, which were formally enforced across Microsoft’s partner ecosystem for the first time this year. Microsoft has significantly increased its focus on sustainability, requiring vendors to demonstrate accountability through verified environmental reporting.
“Increasingly, our customers—including multinational government agencies and large global organizations—ask not only about our technology, but about our commitment to sustainability,” said Fardad Zabetian, CEO of KUDO. “By partnering with Carbonfit, we can now confidently demonstrate that commitment through data-driven tracking, independent verification, and a clear path toward net zero.”
The sustainability verification complements KUDO’s broader compliance efforts. In parallel, KUDO has also achieved third-party verification of its Microsoft Supplier Security & Privacy Assurance (SSPA) requirements. Prescient Security independently validated KUDO’s data protection and Microsoft-related security practices, marking the first time these controls have been formally verified by an external auditor.
“As AI adoption accelerates, the environmental impact of digital infrastructure can no longer be ignored,” added Annemarie Roddy (Associate Director, Carbonfit). “Sustainability is becoming a core responsibility for AI companies, not a ‘nice to have.’ This partnership with KUDO ensures we’re taking concrete, transparent steps in the right direction.”
Carbonfit was selected following a competitive evaluation process that included Microsoft-approved sustainability providers, underscoring KUDO’s commitment to rigorous and meaningful assessment standards.
KUDO plans to publicly report on its sustainability progress annually and continue aligning its operations with evolving expectations from enterprise customers, governments, and global technology partners.
